2015 Trilogy Release
Only a few wineries throughout Napa Valley have been fortunate enough to craft a wine with as much significance and history as Flora Spring’s Trilogy. The 2015 Trilogy marks the 31st release of this celebrated flagship wine. Since the inaugural release in 1984, its illustrious history spans the last few decades for being known as one of the first Napa Valley, Bordeaux-style red blends ever created.
The growing season in 2015 will be remembered for high quality and low yields. Warm temperatures in late winter and early spring resulted in an early budbreak and uneven fruit set, due to colder temperatures during bloom in May, yielded a much smaller crop compared to earlier vintages. Harvest was one of the earliest on record in Napa Valley and most vintners completed picking by mid-October.
The 2015 Napa Valley Trilogy is a culmination of my family’s effort to making the best wine possible by selecting the highest quality wine lots culled from our estate vineyards. The wine showcases bright fruit upon entry, that progresses and expands onto the palate with a velvety texture, followed by a long pleasant finish. A marriage of three varietals; Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petite Verdot features an elevated flavor profile with a robust mouthfeel. I think we have done a superb job with this wine and the critics agree, the 2015 Trilogy has already received these excellent reviews:
